Fiona is a painter and print-maker based in Totnes, Devon. She is inspired by the local seascape and countryside. There is a timeless, dreamlike quality to her work. She often paints parts of objects and plants leading your eye into the work, hinting at an unseen image giving the work a certain mystery. She states:

“Within my work I aim to capture the essence of the sea, the luminance of light that emanates, constantly changing, reflecting mood and energy, breathing light and life into interiors. The beauty in our surroundings delights and amazes me all the time, I wish I could take it all home and wallpaper my walls with it!!”

She is originally from Kent and was born in 1967. She studied at the Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art where she gained BA in printmaking, and also Maidstone College of Art. She has taken part in the TDOS open studios since 2008.
